Infrastructure Stimulus Fund
Through Canada's Economic Action Plan, the Federal government has established a new $4-billion Infrastructure Stimulus Fund (ISF) that provides funding for construction-ready infrastructure projects. The ISF complements existing infrastructure programs by focusing on short-term objectives for economic stimulus. Eligible projects include water, wastewater, transit, roads, culture, parks, trails and community services infrastructure. The ISF was officially launched in the Province of British Columbia on April 7, 2009. For more information, refer to the Program Guide. Projects Announced On September 24, 2009, the Government of Canada announced 174 new infrastructure projects valued at just under $719 million to help communities throughout British Columbia meet their pressing infrastructure needs, help stimulate the economy, create jobs and support continued economic growth. Additional announcements are available on the Infrastructure Canada website. Program Forms The following forms and information is for Infrastructure Stimulus Fund recipients.
