Community Recreation Program

The $30-million Community Recreation Program was developed to address the unique challenges faced by communities in the Province with respect to meeting their recreational infrastructure needs.

The Program will invest in local government capital projects that make communities healthier, more active places in which to live.

The following form and information are for recipients of Community Recreation Program grants and should be used in order to meet the provisions of the Contribution Agreement.

A Periodic Progress Report is required quarterly and must be completed and submitted online using the Local Government Information System (LGIS) until the project is complete. A Periodic Progress Report is required even if the project has not been started.

  • There are several training videos and step by step instructions to walk you through completing the Periodic Progress Response Form online on the LGIS Learning Centre.

Upon project completion a Summary of Expenditures (XLS 68KB) detailing eligible costs and a Final Reporting Form (XLS 462KB) detailing project performance must both be completed and submitted. The recipient is responsible for ensuring that the means to collect and provide data on project performance is in place. For more information on eligible costs see the Program Guide section 2.5.

Application intake closed. All funded projects were announced by March 30, 2012.
