Re: Pension Information for Notes to Financial Statements

Attached is an update of the recommended pension note to the financial statements of local governments in British Columbia for December 31, 2006.

There are a few minor changes from the 2005 note including an adjustment to the number of local government contributors from 30,000 to 31,000 and the number of retired members from 48,000 to 51,000.

A valuation was prepared as at December 31, 2006, but the results must be reviewed by the Board prior to being released. These results will be presented in the 2007 note.
