Stephanie Cadieux (2010 - Present)

Stephanie Cadieux Cadieux was appointed the Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development on October 25, 2010. She is the 30th minister to hold the portfolio.

The reconfigured ministry combined responsibility for local government with responsibility for sports and recreation, and arts and culture.

Other responsibilities, including the RuralBC Secretariat, the Mountain Pine Beetle Epidemic Response Division and the Community Development Trust moved to the Ministry of Regional Economic and Skills Development.

Prior to being appointed Minister, Cadieux chaired the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner and served on the Select Standing Committees on Health and on Children and Youth. She also served on the Special Committee to Review the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. She represents the riding of Surrey-Panorama.
