Climate Action Charter
B.C. communities commit to the goals of being carbon neutral and to create complete, compact,
energy-efficient communities.
Local governments from across B.C. have joined with the Province and
the Union of BC Municipalities, to find ways to tackle the
challenges posed by climate change, pledging to take action to significantly cut
both corporate and community-wide greenhouse gas emissions.

November, 2011 - 180 local governments and the Islands Trust are now
signatories to the B.C. Climate Action Charter.
