Responsibilities under the Community Charter

Under the Community Charter municipalities are required to address the following areas of responsibility:

• Annual Financial Report and Audit
• Annual Municipal Meeting
• Annual Municipal Report
• Ethical Conduct
• Financial Plan
• Interest Calculation
• Officers and Employees
• Open Meetings
• Procedure Bylaw
• Special Voting Procedures

Outside of these responsibilities, the Community Charter provides municipalities many opportunities to respond more efficiently and effectively to community needs and objectives.
