The BC Arts Council strives to enrich the lives of British Columbians by engaging citizens in a healthy arts and cultural community recognized for excellence. Council administers approximately 37 programs that provide operating and project support for British Columbian artists, the arts and cultural organizations. Applications for funding are adjudicated through a peer review process in which independent artists and other arts and culture professionals assess grant applications, advise on priorities and make recommendations to the BC Arts Council.
