Canada/BC Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund

On June 21, 2006, the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada announced an agreement had been signed for the Canada/BC Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund (CBCMRIF), which will commit $102 million in combined funding, over the coming year, for infrastructure projects across the province. A minimum of 80 percent of funding will be targeted toward communities with a population less than 250,000 people.
