The Municipal Engineering Services Branch's
mandate is to provide engineering
coordination and evaluation for ministry programs and engineering
advice to help local government plan, design and
manage infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include supporting the
administration of infrastructure grant
programs such as the:
In partnership with other ministries and other organizations, the branch works to
implement provincial strategies and plans related to sustainable resource management.

Many of the actions contained in these plans are being carried out by staff working
on provincial committees such as the British Columbia Water and Waste Association's
Water Sustainability
Committee and Small Waters System Committee.
