Key responsibilities include supporting the administration of infrastructure grant programs such as the:

• Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund; and
• Infrastructure Planning Grant Program.

In partnership with other ministries and other organizations, the branch works to implement provincial strategies and plans related to sustainable resource management. This includes the:

• Provincial Water Conservation Strategy
• Drinking Water Action Plan
• Energy For Our Future: A Plan for B.C.
• Weather, Climate and the Future: B.C.'s Plan

Mackenzie - Wastewater Aeration Basin

To help local government develop sustainable infrastructure, the branch provides advice on the following subjects:
